What is the mission and vision of Catalyst Fund Toolkits?

Catalyst Fund Toolkits are a set of startup-centered tools to help startups, especially fintech startups working in emerging markets, do their work better. We have not seen a specific set of tools for the customers and environments in which we work. By building out experiences working hands-on with inclusive fintech startups into a set of tools, we hope that other startups have the benefit of applying what we have learned from testing the tools in the field.

How are these toolkits organized?

CF toolkits are a part of the Catalyst Fund, a philanthropic grant front at the forefront of inclusive fintech, supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and JPMorgan Chase & Co. It is managed by BFA and fiscally sponsored by Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors.  As a grant fund with mentoring, advisory engagements and network-building, Catalyst Fund focuses on accelerating pre-seed fintech startups in Africa, Latin America and Asia, that are serving the low-income customer. Equally part of our mandate, is to share and spread the insights and lessons learned with the broader financial services and fintech industries.
